In meiner Kindheit habe ich kein Wasser getrunken, Tee (mit Zucker oder Honig) und Säfte, vor allem Orangensaft und Karottensaft, haben mich immer begleitet. Erst mit Anfang 20 fing ich an Wasser zu trinken. Für einige sicher ungewohnt, aber ich möchte euch meine Geschichte dahinter erzählen und auch wie ich es letztendlich geschafft habe Wasser in meine Trinkroutine einzubauen.

Fangen wir am Anfang an besten an. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, dass in meiner Familie viel Wasser, also pures Wasser, getrunken wurde. Kaffee wurde viel getrunken und auch mal Tee. Mit Wasser kam ich nur in Berührung, wenn ich Tabletten einnehmen musste. Sehr lange Zeit habe ich Wasser deswegen auch nicht runter bekommen und schon der Gedanke daran ließ mir eine leichte Übelkeit zurück. Manchmal musste ich mich davon sogar übergeben, weil ich den Geschmack so furchbar wahrgenommen habe.

Ich fand das auch lange Zeit gar nicht schlimm, da ich es so gewohnt gewesen bin. Erst durch meinen Mann, vor allem als er seine Ernährung komplett umgestellt hat, ist mir bewusst geworden, dass Wassertrinken gut funktionieren kann. Da fing aber erst der ganze Weg an, den das ich heute ein Glas Wasser trinken kann war schon ein nicht so einfacher Weg.

Wasser schmeckt für mich nach Rosten, Eisen und irgendwie erdig. Ich kann schon den Geruch nicht gut leiden. Aber das alles ist eine Kopfsache, denn Meerwasser liebe ich vom Geruch, obwohl es auch Wasser ist. Ich fing an als erstes aufzuarbeiten was ich mit Wasser verbinde. Gutes und schlechtes, gutes fiel mir nicht viel ein, aber man kann dennoch gut an den schlechten Erinnerungen arbeiten.

1. Geschmack
An dieses Thema geht man wortwörtlich Schluck für Schluck voran. Ich habe damit begonnen meinen Saft mit Wasser zu strecken/verdünnen. Erst zu 1/2 irgendwann zu 1/16.

2. Geruch
Durch das Verdünnen mit Saft ändert sich auch der Geruch vom Wasser. Mit der Zeit wird es immer besser und die Nase nimmt Wasser nicht mehr störend wahr.

3. Positive Erinnerungen schaffen
Nach einem langen Tag sich aufs Glas Wasser freuen? War für mich unvorstellbar. Dennoch fing ich an mir unterwegs hauptsächlich Wasser zu kaufen, damit ich positive Erlebnisse in Erinnerung bringe. Auf Events, Messen und Veranstaltungen lasse ich mir auch gerne als erstes Getränk Wasser geben. Irgendwann wächst der Stolz es geschafft zu haben und es fällt einem richtig leicht.

4. Wasser ist nicht gleich Wasser
Wasser aus Plastikflaschen haben einen leichten Eigengeschmack, den ich unangenehm empfinde. Am besten schmeckt mir Wasser aus Glasflaschen oder direkt aus der Leistung. Auch hilft Soda-Wasser, also gesprudeltes Wasser, das man es leichter trinken kann. Man kann es sogar Zuhause sprudeln, da gibt es ein Gerät zu, welches ihr sicher kennen werdet.

Wenn man diese Schritte erfolgreich überwunden hat merkt man, was das Wassertrinken im Körper und im Leben verändert hat.

1. Eine bessere Haut
2. Eine bessere Konzentration
3. Das Gehirn ist leistungsfähiger
4. Man fühlt sich fitter, ist schneller ausgeschlafen
5. Der Stoffwechsel funktioniert besser
6. Weniger Harnwegsinfektionen
und einiges weiteres.

Es ist wirklich sehr gefährlich zu wenig zu trinken, immerhin besteht unser Körper zum größten Teil aus Wasser und verlangt! dieses. Erste Anzeichen das ihr zu wenig trinkt sind Kopfschmerzen, ein trockenes Gefühl im Hals, trockene und spröde Lippen, weniges Wasserlassen und auch Appetitlosigkeit.
Natürlich muss man nicht nur Wasser trinken, aber 2 Liter am Tag wären schon empfohlen und vorbildlich.

Gewöhnt euren Kindern unbedingt das Wassertrinken an. Ich bin sehr froh, dass meine Kinder am liebsten Wasser trinken. Sie haben es beim Papa gesehen und für sich so übernommen, noch bevor ich es konnte. Nicht nur unterwegs hat man es mit Wasser leichter, auch die oben genannten Aufzählungen gelten für Kinder. Da sie sich von im Wachstum befinden, empfinde ich es sogar noch ein Stückchen wichtiger als bei Erwachsene.

Man kann Wasser auch spannend zubereiten. Vielleicht habt ihr schon mal etwas von „Infused Water“ gehört. Ich hatte euch sogar schon mal einen Blogartikel dazu geschrieben. Es ist eigentlich nur Wasser aufgepeppt, aber die neuen Farbeindrücke lassen es wie etwas besonderes trinke. Geschmack der Früchte/Kräuter wird abgegeben, Vitamine werden aufgenommen und es lässt sich wunderbar Gästen und Schlechwassertrinkern reichen.
