Der beste Tzatziki | Rezept aus Kreta

Griechenland bekommt man nicht schneller auf den Teller als mit Tzatziki. Wir lieben ihn total und essen ihn sehr, sehr, sehr häufig. Da ihr oft nach mein Rezept gefragt habt, verrate ich es euch. 🙂

Es gibt so viele Varianten von Tzatziki, dass man gar nicht weiß welche die richtige und köstlichste ist. Ich zeige euch wie meine Familie ihn nach kretischer Art zubereitet und er uns am besten schmeckt.

Tzatziki ( τζατζίκι )


Für eine Schüssel.
Folgende Zutaten werden benötigt:
1 Stück Gurke (Handgroß)
30g Olivenöl
1/2 TL Essig
2-3 gepresste Knoblauchzehen
300g griechischer Joghurt 10%



Die Gurke waschen und raspeln. In ein Sieb geben, darunter eine Schüssel, und die Gurke mit einer Prise Salz vermischen. Die Gurken für eine halbe Stunde Wasser/Flüssigkeit ziehen lassen.


Essig, Olivenöl, Salz, Pfeffer und ausgepresste Knoblauchzehen in einer Schüssel vermischen. Den Joghurt ganz vorsichtig unterheben. Die Gurkenraspel ebenfalls unterheben. Abschmecken und wenn nötig nachsalzen.

Mindestens 1 Stunde kühl stellen.
Zur Meze/Mezedakia servieren. Auch sehr lecker zu Brot, Fleisch, Fisch, Gemüse… 🙂
